SpyderUtility - Preferences
SpyderUtility - Preferences
The Preferences will control how the SpyderUtility is acting for you.
General
Dialogs will be automatically dismissed after:
The SpyderUtility will show you warning messages if necessary. This dropdown will define after how much time these messages may disappear automatically.
Show notification on launch:
You can disable the SpyderUtility start up notification
Room Light
Check Room Light Level Every:
Define how often you want the SpyderUtility to check your room light status. We recommend to do it every 5 to 10 minutes, you'll only get a warning message if there was a shift of your room light level that requires a recalibration.
Video Card - Windows only
Load Video Card LookUp Table (LUT) Every:
Define how often you want the SpyderUtility to reload the profile information into the video card LookUp Table (LUT). On Windows the operating system can not reload the profile when the display recovers from sleep mode, hibernation mode, full screen games that use their own color settings. We recommend to do it every 1 minute.
Recalibration
Check Recalibration Every:
This setting defines the interval by which the SpyderUtility will check if the correct monitor profiles are activated for each of your displays.
Notify if display has not been recalibrated (ReCAL) within the last:
This will determine how often the SpyderUtility will remind you to do a recalibration, this setting is also available inside the Spyder X2 software after saving your profile. Because of the color and luminance shifts of your displays during their lifecycle, we recommend to recalibrate each month.
Startup - Windows only
Display Startup Dialogs:
You can define if the information window that the monitor profile has been successfully loaded into the video card LookUp Table (LUT) is always shown at system launch, not shown or only shown if the profile was not successfully loaded into the video card LookUp Table (LUT).
