I am going to work in a bright environment for a photo or video shoot. The Spyder can calibrate up to 750 nits (cd/m^2), why would I need the SpyderPro?
750 nits (cd/m^2) does fall within the high brightness range but the sensor for the Spyder is tunes for optimal performance in standard lighting conditions. The SpyderPro is tuned for calibration in a broader range of brightness levels, specifically beyond 400 nits (cd/m^2) (but performs equally as well as the Spyder in lower ranges using one of the 6 other Display Technologies).
This support article is referring to the following Datacolor Spyder products:
Spyder and SpyderPro.
