Can I choose to use the old brightness calibration method?
Starting with the Spyder X2 generation (released 2023), the brightness measurement and the pre-calibration adjustment using the RGB slider (SpyderPro only - disabled by default) is done, by default, in real time by continually measuring the display in short intervals. This means that if you make a change to the brightness / RGB slider settings this will reflect in the current brightness value / white point value and you do not need to click an Update button to see the new value.
You can disable the continuous measuring option in the Spyder software preferences

This may create a conflict when you have your monitor OSD menu in the middle of your monitor to do brightness adjustments. Therefore, you can disable this option in the Advanced Settings.
