I am confused about how to select the best media setting using the Media Setting Check prints I printed from Spyder Print. The help offers lots of illustrations and descriptions, but what is the most important thing to look for?
That depends on what is most important to you in your images. If shadow detail is your goal (say for night shots), then prioritize for a setting that should good separation and gradients. If highlight detail is most important (say for wedding photos) then you would look for good light colors in the Media Setting prints. Color Saturation could be a main goal for some types of images as well. You may have the luxury of finding one setting that is optimal for all these factors, and not have to choose amongst them. Or you may find that a number of media settings are very similar, and that any of them will work well for your paper
