Will I be able to generate pleasing Black & White, or grayscale profiles with Datacolor printer profiling tools?
Printing black and white images with color inks is, in many ways, the most difficult function for color printers, and for color profiles. Some printers and their inks are sufficiently consistent and neutral that an ICC profile can be used for B&W printing with results good enough to sell as fine art prints. Other combinations are sufficient for occasional black and white material, but not up to the fine art level, while the most problematic combinations should not be used for B&W prints with colored ink under any circumstances.
