Why am I asked to enter information about my printer, inks, paper, and media setting into Spyder Print before I go through the profile building process?
You can leave these spaces blank, and as a result blanks will be printed onto your profiling target, to be filled in by hand. But it’s a better idea to fill the info in on the computer. This avoids accidentally mislabeling a target, and also means that your measurement set will include this information, so that its easier to tell what the measurement set actually represents at a later time. It will also save this infomation into the measurement file so that it will be easier to determine what configuration a given measurement file represents.
