StudioMatch - Settings

1. These Displays are selected in this StudioMatch process
   

   - The displays are listed with their individual maximum brightness level.
   
   

    

2. Target Brightness
   

   - Based on previous calibrations / the previous maximum brightness measurement, the SpyderPro software knows how your displays perform in terms of brightness and will evaluate the best Target Brightness to achieve an alignment of all your screens.
   - If you want you can adjust this value, but never above the lowest value of the selected displays.
   - The brighter displays can be made dimmer, but the dimmest display can't be made any brighter.
   - We recommend you to leave the value calculated by the SpyderPro software.
   
   

3. Gamma
   

   - The Gamma value defines the contrast ratio of your display view. The most common color gamuts are AdobeRGB / sRGB and the operating systems Mac OS X and Windows work with Gamma 2.2.
   - Please only change this value if required by your color workflow.
   
   

4. White Point
   

   - Also known as Color Temperature, the Kelvin value defines the white point of your display. A lower Kelvin value results in a warmer white point than a higher Kelvin value.
   - 6500 Kelvin is recommended as it's the recommended target for AdobeRGB and sRGB.
   - If required for your color workflow adjust the White Point.

7. Name and save the StudioMatch calibration target
   

   
   
   - Enter the Name for the StudioMatch calibration target and save the StudioMatch calibration target.
   
   

8. StudioMatch calibration target saved

   
   
   - You saved the StudioMatch calibration target now.
   - Copy the StudioMatch calibration target onto the other computers, when you want to match monitors connected to different computers.
   - Use this StudioMatch calibration target as calibration target at the other computer. Select the StudioMatch target from the custom target list.
   
   - The path to save the StudioMatch calibration target on Apple computer is:
   Macintosh HD/Users/YOUR USER NAME/Library/Preferences/Datacolor/Spyder/Targets/
   Please note: Starting from 10.7 Lion Apple has set the User Library to be hidden.
   In the Finder go to the "Go To" / "Go" menu and press the "ALT" key and an additional menu item will show up called "Library" as long as you press the "ALT" key.
   
   - The path to save the StudioMatch calibration target on Windows computer is:
   C:\users\YOUR USER NAME\AppData\Local\Datacolor\Spyder\Targets
   
   - The StudioMatch calibration target files can be copied also cross platform.
   From Mac to Windows and vice versa!
