Adobe has changed the User Preset file format in Adobe Lightroom Classic, does this have any effects on the Spyder Checkr software?

Adobe has changed the Adobe Lightroom Classic presets format a while ago from *.lrtemplate to *.xmp.
The *.XMP format is also the preset format for Adobe Camera RAW.
For compatibility reasons, Adobe does support the old and the new standard.

The folder:
Windows: C:\users\YOUR USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Develop Presets\User Presets\
Mac: Mac HD/Users/YOUR USERNAME/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom/Develop Presets/User Presets/
is the default User Preset folder for the *.lrtemplate files in Adobe Lightroom Classic

The folder:
Windows: C:\users\YOUR USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\Settings\
Mac: Mac HD/Users/YOUR USERNAME/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/Settings/
is the default User Preset folder for the *.XMP files in Adobe Camera RAW and in Adobe Lightroom Classic

When you use the Spyder Checkr software, you will create a *.lrtemplate file. As you do this while you are working in Adobe Lightroom Classic, Adobe Lightroom Classic will not be able to find the new *.lrtemplate file.
This will be done at the next launch of Adobe Lightroom Classic. Therefore restart Adobe Lightroom Classic and Adobe Lightroom Classic will find the new *.lrtemplate file.
Within a few seconds after the launch of Adobe Lightroom Classic will convert the new *.lrtemplate file into the *.XMP format and save that *.XMP format file into C:\users\YOUR USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\Settings\.
You will see a progress window on screen for less than 5 seconds.

By now the Spyder Checkr user preset is available in Adobe Lightroom Classic and also in Adobe Camera RAW.

TIP - if you have used user defined folder or trouble to locate the folders:
The Spyder Checkr offer direct links to the Adobe Lightroom Classic default *.lrtemplate location folder, the Adobe Camera RAW default *.xmp location folder and the Phocus Preset folder.
