Is HDR handled different on Windows and macOS and can I enable HDR after the calibration?

Yes, Windows and macOS do work different here.

HDR on Windows:

When HDR is enabled on Windows 10 or Windows 11, the standard profile is disabled and an advanced profile is used for the display profile. Spyder and SpyderPro software create a standard profile.

HDR on maOS:

When HDR is enabled on macOS it does not change the display profile. HDR is only enabled when HDR content is being shown on the display.

Can I enable HDR or other dynamic image enhancement functions after the calibration on my Windows machine?

No, you should not enable HDR and other dynamic modes after calibration. When you enable HDR, the profile will switch to a specific HDR profile. Other dynamic modes will not impact the custom profile specifically but can negatively impact the look of your display/images.
It is not recommended to use HDR or Dynamic Modes for a photographic workflow.
