What is the difference between Spyder X2 and Spyder5 hardware?
The Spyder X2 is a further development of the Spyder X sensor. The Spyder X2 is technically based on the Spyder X, which, compared to the Spyder5 and all its predecessors, is a completely new sensor development by Datacolor.
If you are using a Spyder5 (or an older model), we recommend you upgrade to the new Spyder X2. With a groundbreaking new color sensor technology, combined with an optical lens system, the Spyder X2 achieves significantly higher precision and color accuracy. Calibration with the Spyder X2 takes just one to two minutes, getting you to your perfectly calibrated monitor many times faster than ever before.
Compared to the Spyder X Pro and Spyder X Elite, the Spyder X2 Elite and Spyder X2 Ultra come with the newly developed Spyder X2 software with a new user interface that makes it even easier to use. In addition, the Spyder X2 Ultra can calibrate displays with brightness up to 2000 nits (cd/m^2).
