How to I match my monitor to my projector?
Calibrating both at appropriate settings will offer reasonably similar results, so that what you see on your projection screen should be very close to what you saw on your monitor when correcting the same image. Slight differences will occur due to differing gamut and tonal range between the two. Differing luminance and calibration routines may also mean that the same image, displayed simultaneously on your laptop screen and your projection screen, may not appear identical. Given the variable nature of screen projection, it is recommended to not attempt to tune the two to an exact match, as varying conditions may cause a different set of variations between them. Proofing to your projector profile in Photoshop may be of assistance in determining if the colors in your images are in the gamut of your projector, or if they are too saturated, and will be clipped when displayed.
