Monitor calibration is the process of evaluating a monitor’s performance and then correcting it for a particular workflow. This is done through an evaluative process of measuring a display then, based on these measurements a profile is created to correct your display. This profile is used by your operating system to adjust the signal going to a display and for use in color managed software so colors are properly rendering within the program.
